Castles on the beach . . . and their view . . .

to the beach . . .

Today I took a short bus ride to the beach to take some photos. Started at Lyall Bay, walked along the coastline thru Dorrie Leslie Park, along the Esplanade to Houghton Bay which I have to say is my favorite bay, then on to Island Bay for a true Kiwi lunch at the local Tip Top Dairy for a hot pie and milkshake... some sand, sun, beach, kickin back and enjoying the view... In between Lyall Bay and Evans Bay is a narrow strip of land, the airport, quite a sight, planes are coming in and taking off right over the bays, great to watch!

Karori Sanctuary . . .

Karori Sanctuary is a safe haven for endangered native birds and other wildlife, located minutes from downtown Wellington. A unique predator proof fence surrounds the Sanctuary, protecting the wildlife and ensuring the forest regenerates to its former glory. This world-first conservation attraction is an inspiring place to visit and learn about New Zealand's unique wildlife.

inno/VISION fashion show...

1. insight 2. visionary innovation 3. internal aspirations

Inno/vision is a catwalk show that highlights fashion and textile design from Massey University’s final year Bachelor of Design and Diploma level students. This was an opportunity to view the most creative and innovative designs from their up and coming fashion designers.

The evening was a very colorful, cool, creative, individual show!
Here are some of the fashions I shot at the Massey University Graduate Fashion Show 2007... Saturday night in Wellington...

AT ONE MINUTE PAST MIDNIGHT on the third Thursday of each November from little villages and towns north of Lyon in the Beaujolais region, over a million cases of Beaujolais Nouveau begin their journey through a sleeping France to Paris for immediate shipment to all parts of the world (New Zealand being the first country in the world, every year to enjoy a glass of Beaujolais Nouveau). Banners proclaim the good news: Le Beaujolais Nouveau est arrivé! - "The New Beaujolais has arrived!" Photos to follow as tonight will be a fun time!
